P-hydroxybenzoic Acid is white crystal powder without any smell but is astringent.  P-hydroxybenzoic Acid is easily dissolved in hot water, alcohol, ether; slightly dissolved in cold water, benzene, and not dissolved in carbon bisulfide. It is dissolved in 125 cold water and relative density is 1.46.
