Sodium propionate is colorless transparent crystalline or granular crystalline powder with a slight odor.Salt is a colorless crystal with hygroscopicity.It is soluble in water and ethanol, with a solubility of about 100(15ºC) in 10% water and a pH value of 8.5~10.5.It has a wide range of antibacterial effects on mold, yeast and bacteria, and is most active in acidic pH.
