The total flavonoids from Hawhtorn leaves are extracted from dried leaves of Crataegus Pinnatifida Bge. Var Major N.E.Br.or Crataegus Pinnatifida Bge. Two plants of Hawthorn genus, rose family. Its major ingredients are vitexin rhamnoside, Hyperoside and oligomeric procyanidins. It can help lower blood pressure and blood lipids.

1.Improving the tolerability of mycardium to hypoxia and act against cardiac infarct like propanolol.
2.Dilating coronary artery and improving the vitality of myocardium.
3.Decreasing blood lipids,blood pressure and the cerebral vascular resistance.
4.Act against arrhythmia,expecially atrial or ventricular premature beats,but have no effect on effect on atrial fibrillation.
