P-hydroxybenzoic Acid is white crystal powder without any smell but is astringent. P-hydroxybenzoic Acid is easily dissolved in hot water, alcohol, ether; slightly dissolved in cold water, benzene, and not dissolved in carbon bisulfide. It is dissolved in 125 cold water and relative density is 1.46.

Usage of P-Hydroxybenzoic Acid
This product could be used an intermediate of antiseptics, dyestuff, medicine and injection molding. Nipagins could be gained by its esterfication with alcohol. It is also the main raw material for liquid crystal polymer and material for pesticide intermediates.
